I was sold a pair of chickens that were listed as 6 week old blue splash Phoenix. I heard the cockerel crow this morning and took a closer look at the birds. The cockerel has saddle feathers. I think they are not 6 weeks. More like 14 weeks. And the size is too small for a Phoenix. I suspect they are old English bantams. Can any one tell me if I am right? The picture of the birds next to my 10 month old Brahmas make them look like doves. The green hue is from the green tarp covering my run.

Sorry life has been a bit busy lately...the rooster is splash. The hen looks white. They don't look self blue which is a uniform light grey colour. The tails are longer than typical old english. They might be crossed with them though to produce a different color of phoenix which usually come in golden and silver type colours.

I had a Phoenix and it was pretty small. I was sad when dogs got it. I with I could ha e seen it grown. But at 4 months it was a small chicken. Yours look like they could just be a smaller version. And the males (I was told grow a little slower then the female).
