I bought 5 chicks a week ago and two of them have alot more feathers developed than the other 2. One had more feathers but all dark red, I think its going to be a roo.

Im looking at the one in front compared to the one in back.

Is this normal for them to be differnet or am I missing something?

They look like my rir at that age. Hens get feathers quicker than roosters, but rooster usally get combs before hens.

Quote:I got them at the same time from the same shipment into the store, so i thought they would be the same age but maybe not. If I picked 3 roosters.....[IMG]
