    Hello,
I am wondering if anyone could help me tell who is who [IMG] . These are our 5 week old blue orpington chicks (although Cyan has a comb I have not yet seen before, it has a little point in it). I think I have 4 pullets, 3 Roos (Dahlia, Lilly and Lupin) and Cyan I am not sure!? I tryed my best to get good, face, side and top shots of them. Thanks in advance!

  2. I think Cyan, Dahlia, Lilly, and Lupin are cockerals.

I'm sure that Larkspur, Scarlett, Shasta, and Sweet Pea are pullets.

So I think you got a 50% / 50% roo/hen rational. [IMG] They sure are pretty.

Hey thanks so much! So even though Cyan's feathers look like a pullet... do you think it is the waddles and comb that are like a roo? Do you know what kind of comb that is? It is different with that horn thing?

Hi. Cyan has a rose comb....which I've never seen in an Orp before [IMG] but okay....

Cyan, Lilly, and Lupin are your only cockerels...VERY nice looking, by the way.

Cyan looks like a blue wyandotte roo.

That is what I was going to say. That rosecomb threw me for a loop.

    Thank You Red&Yellow [IMG]

Speaking of Cyan... when we bought our original chickens the lady said they were all Orps... but I think that she gave me some mixed in some mixed breed chicks hence the different combs. All well I guess, she could probably tell I was a newbie and took advantage (not very honesty of her but I guess it happens). Thanks again!

Quote:Now that I think of it, the lady that we got our original chicks from (the ones that made these chicks) had different kinds of "blue" chickens. Maybe she got them mixed up with the orpingtons. So it looks like I have 4 boys and 4 girls then?
