I just bought these off of Craigs list today. I'm new to muscovies so can anyone confirm that these are chocolate pied ducklings?[IMG] Thank you.

They are only a week older than when the picture was taken, so they don't look any different, just a little bigger. I have no idea what they will look like when they grow up. They don't look chocolate pied to me, but i'm new to these [IMG]

Cute ducklings but they look like blacks/ black bibbed/black pied to me. Chocolate usually are much lighter brown ... almost a kakki color.

That is what I was thinking. She showed me pictures of the parents. The father is chocolate pied. The mother is light brown (buff?) pied. I Don't know the duck genetics, but I believe these duckling's colors are probably through backs? They don't look pied to me either, but I'm sure they carry the genes for it. 2 of the bibbed ones are a dark brown that doesn't show up well in the photo.
