Black Sex Links (marketed as Black Stars) are a real lovely hybrid breed. They're the industry standard brown egg layer, and in my opinon one of the prettiest high production layers out there. Average personalities, but on the calm side of average. They'll give you a "great" 5-6 eggs a week peak season.

Black Australorps are a pretty average breed. Fine personalities, just a plain black chicken. They lay "good", at 4-5 eggs per week peak season. Not my favorite breed since they're a bit plain for my taste but I know many on here love them.

Do you think they would get along with my two Rhode Island Reds and my two buff rock Orpington's and a white one I have? The Rhode Island Reds are a little territorial but they'll seem to get along.
