Hi everyone,

I recently started my mini flock of hens. Three are from small hatchery. Two brown and one black and white. They are supposed to be a Welsummer, Olive Egger, and Chocolate Orpington. Not too sure if that’s what I actually received. However, they are supposedly all hens. What is your take?

The other three I am not sure. I was told they are EE’s or Araucana but females. One gray, one white/yellow, one white with black spots and stripes.

Any other pics that may help? I believe they range from 4-7 weeks old. No roosters allowed in my town and I want to be pretty sure I don’t have one. TIA

Too young to tell

It is too early to tell for sure!

So far they all look like pullets. Of course that is what happens LOL! They look like pullets until all of a sudden, the cockerels will reveal themselves.

If the hatchery sold them as pullets and the person that checked them is good at vent sexing, they will most likely all be pullets
