I don't know what this breed these birds are. I do animal rescue and they were brought in. From looking online I can only guess Pyncheon. Anyone know?

    Thanks!

I don't claim to be an expert, but I did study hens as part of my zoology degree. The two breeds do look very similar but if I had to hazard a guess, I'd say what you're looking at is Mallard.

Thank you! They do look like those. Some are black, spotted, and the little roosters are awesome looking. Images are the best - but appreciate it.

Pyncheons are small like that, but should have a Mille Fleur pattern on a red/bay base color;/both sexes should have a small "tassel" (crest) on top and yellow or willow/green legs depending on age.
They don't have beards or muffs; they are clean on wattles and neck.
    Hope this helps,
    Anne
