We are new “again” to raising chickens. I have not had chickens for years. We got two breeds from the local hatchery; RIR and a hatchery breed; Browns. The Browns are all pullets but the RIR came unsexed. They were mixed together when they arrived. We were told Browns are the lighter chicks and RIR the darker.
As feathers have come in, some have been obvious - white and darkBUT there are two that I have been questioning. See photos.
We are wanting to start separating them so sorting is easier with 12 and not 22! I’m sure I’ll be back for some second questions/photos! (Though there are a couple guys I’m very certain on already.)
Thanks so much! And hope the pictures are okay.
Photo 1 - Chick in question.
Photo 2 - Another angle. Both guys are the same.
Photo 3 - Mixed in with others for reference. Photo 4 - Other breed.
