    These are my new little ones i was told they are 8 weeks old and that they are rir's? 1 roo and 1 hen. But my neighbor says buckeye chickens? anyone?

    i think they are red leghorns, because the legs are so yellow, but i am no expert. [​IMG]

    if they really are 6-8weekers they are very tall compaired to my white rocks at that age! they stand right at 16 inches!!!

    Good chance they are RIR, but probably more like 10 to 12 weeks old.

    Not Buckeyes... they have a different comb. I believe it's walnut?? or maybe pea... but certainly not a single.

    Seeing as they have no black tipped tail feathers i'd have to agree with Red leg horns or production reds. Not RIRs

    They are not Buckeyes, Buckeyes have pea combs....

    Production Reds were developed from RIR/New Hampshire Reds...
