So.... if the first two are cockerels, we will have to take them back to the farm where we got them. Can we keep the hen by herself? We’re thinking about getting bantam chicks. Would they get along?

How long can we keep her by herself? The bantams will be babies and I’m guessing we can’t put a teenage chick with newborns?

I would hold on to the boys until she can be with the newer babies. That or buy some that are a bit older.

Either way, any new birds will need to be quarantined. So can't put them in with her right away anyway.
