If those are the birds in the pics they are ringnecks not goldens at all.

Well it's not entirely his fault. You should know what you are looking for also.Even though the guy wasn't honest, you need to know what you are buying. There are so many sites on the web that will give you all the info you need on pheasants.Take the time and look at them then next time you will know if it's right or wrong.Young goldens around here go for 15.00 each for started birds and 60.00 pr for adults in full color.

i did alot of research about the female and if you google pics there are some that look just like the ones i bought and after i bought them i found out he was a breeder from other people of the ringneck...so he prolly had some left over and was selling them as something they were not...he had apen that he called mixed and the female in there....lets just say i believe that is a true female...it is what it is... cant be changed only made better from the experiance and hope he makes it up and takes the birds back...thats all

can you get any of the more mutations anywhere like the peach or salmon or splashed or silver...if so i know a trusted person that has good genetics that could prolly swap..he has silver, golden, red, and peach splashed right now just nothing to sell so it would have to be next year...

I don't see any golden in them at all.Your males are not pure either. No red golden male has barring in their wings. If you enjoy them that's all good, but not pure birds or even the breed he claims they are.I have seen a male golden/ringneck cross and they have a ringneck body with a purple head.I have never seen the hen version.
Believe me I am not trying to get you mad at all.but you need to know what you are buying. There are way to many cross breed goldens out there and I don't think you will find a pure bird without searching for a long time.
If anyone tries to sell you F1,F2,orF3 birds, ask for the documentation. These birds will cost you at least 125.00 per pr if they are F anything wild stock,And the people the raise and sell them are happy to provide the certification.
