Are they nearly ready?

Any ideas from the comb size and colour whether these girls might be nearly ready to start laying?

The splash australorp is 18 weeks

The RIR's are about 19 weeks (there are 2)

The polish x australorp is 18 weeks

The barred rock is 18 weeks (and huge - she towers over everyone else).

The wyandotte x sussex is about 16 or 17 weeks

I agree. The combs aren’t super red yet. It’ll be a little bit!

Yes, agree. You have some time to wait. Likely will get eggs in the 20-24 week range. Not too much longer!

Not yet. The Polish looks closer than the others. They'll turn fire engine red when they're ready, and then it will still be a week or two.

Nice Rock! And I really like the tail width on the second RIR posted, she'll be a good layer for you
