In my efforts to balance my hen-to-rooster ratio, I decided to get more hens. When I found a local lady selling young chickens for $15 each I thought what a great deal! I will just get a couple. I came home with six, pretty sure one's a cockerel 
I was told they are between 3.5 to 5 months...I'm thinking they are younger. I was also told they are lavender orpingtons, black orpingtons and easter eggers. They are so little...especially the smallest lavender orp. It will be a long while before they can go into the Big Bird Run.
