My white americana rooster got in with my white rock hens. I hatched out 9 eggs, they all have combs like an americana. would it be safe to say that they are hens? I am not sure how that all works, i read that the hens get there charateristics for the rooster?

to a certain extent they do, but not comb type. whenever a pea combed bird(americana) is bred to a straight comb bird(white rock) they will produce both comb types, no specific comb type to either sex, its just luck of the draw that all of your chicks are pea combed.
