are you supposed to be able to hear your chcken breath?

    we have a hen that recently has developed some sort of breathing problem. i think? we can hear her breaathing ?

    So, would you say she is panting? There's no other sign of trouble? I've never been able to hear out chicken's breath.

    Does she have a runny nose or swollen eyes?

    I have a rooster that wheezes when he gets overexcited or exerts too much energy (running about, fighting). He has no other signs and has always done this, kind of like people asthma. Since yours just developed it, I would look for other signs of respiratory illness.
