We have had him since he was 9 months old. He is pretty much easy going - He was an awesome stud, acted like a lamb, but we didn't need anymore babies, so we had him cut last yr. All of his offspring were paints, I am keeping one for my next mount.
The only time that he gets testy somewhat is when we bring in another horse, until he gets used to them. He is used to just about anything and everything. We have donkeys, goats, dogs, a buffalo, cows, etc. and a shooting range across the rd. He loads, stands tied, etc. You can pony anyone on him or if you saddle him up and ride him in the round pen, he does great, not good on neck reining yet, will occasionally break lose with a half hearted buck, not much but enough to let you know that he there, not hard enough to throw you. I just don't have the time he needs and all he needs is some miles. We have a busy farm and a 10 month old daughter.
She tends to take up most of our time.
If there is anything else that I can help with just let me know.
PS - Our 9 yr old can go out and can catch him and hugs on him. He isn't a kicker - I won't say that he won't kick, as he has 2 back legs but he has never done it before. She is also the one we toss up on him bareback too.
