Does anyone feed their chickens artichokes? or a better question: CAN you feed artichokes?

I'm not even sure if people should eat artichokes. I touched one once and decided not to risk it. [IMG]

Just kidding (kind of). [IMG] I can't see why chicken couldn't eat them. Hopefully someone a bit more useful than I am will come along soon.

I'm pretty sure I shouldn't feed them the actual "choke". There's a reason it's called that, but what about the leaves?
Taz, what part of Tampa area are you. I moved to Galveston from Weeki Wachee three years ago. Used to live in Clearwater too.

Quote:I put veggies that I think are too tough through the food processor and then give it to the birds. If you can shred it, they can eat it. I am not aware of any toxicity issues with it so I see no reason not to let them try it.

Never had one in the house. But they do love corn and corn cobs that I have eaten.
    Even corn shucks....
