Aruacana or are they...?

Lilac homestead, you will need to ask your questions on an Australian poultry website, as the standard is different here in Australia to that in America. Here is somewhere to start - the Araucana breeders group of Australia http://araucanabreedersgroup.webs.com/
You will need to become a member to access the breed standard. Alternatively there is a Crested Breeds club of Australia on Facebook. Also try Backyard Poultry forum here http://forum.backyardpoultry.com/

Which auction did you get your birds from?
Bacchus Marsh Victoria I believe the Footscray Poultry Society was running it.

Thanks for the link i'll check it out. I've had trouble finding the Australian standards and there seems to be a heap of different opinions as to what constitutes an EE, Aracauna or Ameraucana between the US, UK and AUS....or maybe it's just my lack of clear understanding

I think they look more like Ameraucana but I don't know whether they are even in AUS..?

More research!!

Ameraucana don't have head crests. Your chickens do look like the UK version of Araucana.

I suppose they could be A weird cross and actually be Easter Eggers. Here in the states hatcheries and Feed Store mis-label the EEs as Araucana or Ameraucana and people buy the EE chickens not knowing thats what they really are.

If it helps I'm in Australia and have lavendar araucanas, from a "good quality" breeder (I don't show, mine are just backyard pets). So while I can't comment on what the standards are supposed to be, they look exactly like these (except mine are grey). They are very pretty birds! I love araucanas, I'm sure they will lay lovely sky blue eggs for you.

I also agree on the blue red one being the only boy, looks like my young rooster.

Enjoy those nice birds :)
