My wife and I just started raising chickens about two years ago. We wanted to produce our own eggs, but like most of you we have fallen on love with the chickens. We love to sit and watch them as they roam around the yard picking and scratching the ground. We had six chickens to start with, but a few days ago we notest one of the chickens was bloating up. It died today. After doing a little resarch on line we felt it was probibly waterbelly. My question is of the eggs we have colected over the past few days is it posible that she could have layed any and are they safe to eat. We are new at this so any help you can give would be appericated. Thanks

Water belly happens when a chicken has ascites. Sorry for your girl :( The eggs she laid are fine.
