Ashley our 3 year old kahki campbell got her eye pecked out by our aggressive rooster. I am rehoming him and seperated him. But what Can I do for Ashleys eye? It is just gone and small amounts of white foam is slightly leaking around the hole. She is eating and drinking well but I'm concerned about infection and pain.

I agree to rinse with saline and use Terramycin ointment. keep her away from the rest of the chickens too, she will be vulnerable to them going after her since she has a wound, and she won't be able to see what's coming from that side. I have a Muscovy duck who is blind in one eye she does fine now but it will take your duck a bit of time to get used to using only one eye. And as was mentioned if a vet is an option that is always best.
Please keep us updated on how she is doing.

You already have great advice and if a vet isn't an option I would order an antibiotic to have on hand in the event the terramycin doesn't control the infection. With the eye socket being so close to the brain you do not want that infection spreading any further. Chicken beaks are covered in bacteria from them pecking at everything from poop to dirt to eyes...
