when you've breed what is Best.

1. Hen to Roo

2. 1/2 Pullet to 1/2 Cockerel - Different Fathers but Same Hen

3. Hen to son

4. Roo to daughter


anyhow what's best for Breeding stock ?

Well personally I think its always best to go with option 1. I find otherwise if I try hen to hen or rooster to rooster you can have pretty hit or miss results

No idea with option 2 as I'm afraid I only have complete birds. Not been able to get those half ones to survive real long.

On a more helpful note . You may find some info if you search genetics. I know I've read both don't inbreed and that they do so its pretty confusing.
