Assisted Hatch

We had to assist with a hatch today,or should I say we chose to assist, and he/she has really dried egg shell matter on it's back, how do you get this off without hurting the baby chick ?

If it is actual eggshell stuck, and it doesn't fall off on it's own, try using a VERY SLIGHTLY damp paper towel. The moisture from the towel should help loosen up the shell. If it doesn't come off, try a wetter towel. Hope this helps.

It might take a while but it will come off. =) Just be gentle while letting the gunk come off.
