Astro turf?

Has any one used that fake soft grass stuff. I was thinking of building a sunning platform and putting that on.it's really easy to hose down and it gives good traction. We had to make a ramp for our old dog who could not do stairs. Any thoughts?

I've seen folks use it in the nest boxes but that's been about it.
