At the hospital with my 2 yr old... she had her gallbladder taken out

My 2 year old had her gallbladder taken out yesterday (9/17/09). She did well with the surgery but had problems with oxygen after they took the breathing tube out that they use during surgeries with anesthesia. She was weaned off the oxygen today. They switched her pain medicines and she was herself again. We might be able to go home tomorrow.

Hope she's feeling better now.

But what's with the gallbadder in children these days? Seems like we
almost never heard of children having their gallbladder removed before.
All of a sudden it's like the latest rage. Is it some certain food or drink?

Hana was eight when her gallbaddler was removed. (Ten now, eleven soon)
She's bouncing around now like nothing ever happened. Just four little scars
to remind us.

But when that happened she turned as orange as any pumpkin you ever saw.
Even through her long black hair you could see her scalp was orange.

Always hate to hear of a sick child. Never seems right.
