Happy our chick is now 2 months old.I have posted alot about him.Well this morning its offical hes a boy.He crowed. It was not a steady crow but like a beginning crow real load.It kind of like scared him because he didnt think that could come out of his mouth lol.Is it normal for a 2 month old chicken to start crowing.Hes a blue laced red wyandotte. Thanks

Quote:Congrats on your rooster crowing!! Hope you enjoy your tasty chicken next Saturday!! I remember last year when we had our chickens processed for the first time...it took a bit for my kids to get over the fact that they we our chickens we were eating...now they have realized just how much better they taste over store boughten chicken. Nothing like home raised chickens!!! [IMG]
Nice to see someone else with lots of kids!!! [IMG]

I've had them start as early as 6 weeks, as late as 20 weeks... it just depends on them. [IMG]
