    Just found out my chickens love egg roe. DH was cleaning fish so he cut the roe up in small pieces...they were fighting over it! Great protein source too!

    Not just the roe, they will eat all the parts you don't. When I fillet a fish I just throw the all mess in with thee chickens. Come back in an hour or so and sometimes I can find a back bone, nothing else.

    Mine turned their beaks up at the head and bones. Wouldn't eat it. Just the roe for my spoiled brats.[​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG]
