First storm nothing, Second one about 2 mins of rain. ripped off again
We got really strong winds and lots of thunder. Freaks me out a bit as most of my property is large gum trees. All looks ok so far.
Lol, my husband calls me the " crazy chook lady ".
I'd like to add that I sold 5 dozen pre ordered eggs today. not so crazy after all. Hey!
We had them tested and found that the reason the egg turner burnt out was because it was 110 volt. There is a company here in Aus , that you can buy the replacement motor for the turner. I think it was about $60.
Hello from sunny Cairns!
Got 2 golden sex-link girls. Loving it! Want more!
Welcome! You'll soon learn that this is the best group there is
FancyChookLady i miss pictures of your chooks, horses, goats and farm in general! Hehehe
So excited my Genesis incubator should be arriving soon and I can get hatching! Dad's building the most beautiful brooder ever! And "nursery" coop for when they can get outside.
JellyBean, I am probably not the best person to ask. I do most things by the seat of my pants, not the correct theoretical way. I wouldn't keep them in the incubator because surely you will be setting eggs again straight away.
But seriously, I like to look at my chicks and the vision into those bators is really bad. I can't see what is going on. Fancychooklady and others like Ash know much more than me about the temp the chicks need for the first few days. Chookpatch put a link on here a month or so ago about the actual temps needed.
Well done Fancy on selling some eggs. Maybe you aren't in my "crazy" league yet.
How many do you want? i am in Qld too, only a couple of days drive away. I am sure Satay and I will be able to fix you up with some...
Yes, I'd say rooster.
