Hey Y'all,

My Black Australorp rooster has bred two red broiler hens. I decided to hatch four of the eggs. Two of the chicks are black and two are yellow.

First, should I expect sex links?

Second, how did I end up with two yellow chicks?

Hi! You might try moving this to the exhibition/genetics/breeding forum. You'll get better answers there. I don't know much about genetics, but I know how to hatch chicks, lol.
I bet @NatJ can help you with your question though.
