I would say 2 and 3 are definitely cockerels but the other two I’m kind of up in the air about...I’ll be interested to see what others say.
We’ve got four week olds right now but they have pea combs and no wattle development yet so I think they’re gonna be harder to tell than it was when I had my buff Orpingtons. From what I can tell, I think I have it least three if not four cockerels.
I think ours are Easter Eggers as well. A friend gave me the eggs but she really couldn’t tell me what they were other than the fact that they were green eggs so I’m assuming they’re at least mixed with some Easter Egger. They are adorable but we have no idea what they are as far as gender.Amen! I’ve got 7 EEs coming tmrw
I guess it could be a hen… I am no expert ha ha! The only thing I was checking out was they wattles are kind of red so that was my only reason for saying that. I sure do wish chickens were easier to identify the gender. I am very fortunate, because the lady that gave me my eggs said she would take the roosters back. She has over 100 chickens so she said what’s a couple more.that’s exactly my thoughts and I’m so confused! Those two definitely act like cockerels, but I’ve had many people tell me the white looks like a hen.
