Awesome Egg

    [​IMG] Hi! We are relatively new to chickens having started our flock this past spring. We have 10 Rhode Island Red hens and 1 Wyandotte rooster. The coop was built using a basic plan found on this site as a guide. The birds must be happy as they are giving us 9 to 10 eggs daily since September. The egg pictured was slightly over 3 inches long. we are having loads of fun with our birds and thank this site for its usefulness and friendly atmosphere.

    Three inches, wow! Not a bad laying rate, either! (Don't see a picture).
