And tonight it's supposed to get down to 45. They have been without a heatlamp for about 4 days now but the coop stays a balmy 60. They are feathered for the most part but was wondering if I should add a heat lamp to the tractor tonight?

How old are they now, Tammy?

If it's not too much of a pain, I'd probably do the heat lamp, myself.

Down to 45!! What I wouldn't give for that. Or even 65! Our Kansas LOWS have been right about 80! I envy you in ID!!!

[IMG] I think that was the best idea! They'll sleep better and so will you when ya don't have to worry about them.

PS.... I'd like some of that cool air as well!!!!!!!!!!!

What's this "cool" area we're talking about here?

I don't think I quite remember what "cool" feels like anymore LOL:lol:

This morning when I got up it was 47 and all of the babies seemed quite content. They were huddling under the light but the don't seem to have an issue with piling. They just all lay really close together and form a little blanket. [IMG]

I honestly don't think that we've gotten above 55 at night. Usually our nighttime lows are in the low 50's high 40's. Makes for nice sleeping weather!!
