Baby Buff bad eye

One of my Buff Orpington chick had an eye that seems to be fussed shut. She has an eyelid and it looks like there is an eye rolling around but her little eye wont open. It doesn't look crusty in any way, just simply like her eye is closed. I personally haven't seen this and am not sure , do I simply leave it alone or do I try a warm compress. She is a day old. Can any help with this???

The exact same thing happened with my araucana chick. I made up some weak salty water and wiped it with a cotton wool ball. Opened after the second wipe. Has not happened since.

So give it a gentle clean and hopefully it opens.

Thank you for your response! I tried it and her little eye is staring to open. I have separated because the other chicks kept pecking it. Bless her little heart, she is a feisty little thing ! Her eye is looking better. I think that it is soar from the other chicks messing with it. Thank you again!
