We hatched eggs in our NYC Kindergarten classroom and have the most wonderful chickens. Sadly, at least 3 or 4 of them have announced themselves as roosters and we are not able to have them in the city. They hatched at the end of April and are already crowing like mad! We have one buff polish who is skittish, but sweet. The other 2 are possibly baby Cochins? They are very sweet. I only have a picture of one but the sibling looks very similar. (He's got an 8 year old chick sitter who is sad that he cannot stay) The baby roos have not yet spent the night outside, but play outside every day. Our students - so young, so loving - want to send them to a long term home where they will not be dinner. Please let me know if you are interested! [IMG]
