This little one got hurt bad. Baby just hatched this morning. When i found him i actually thought he was dead, cold and completely limp and half buried in the wood chips. We got him warmed up and put him alone in a plastic tote lined with a towel and added a heat lamp around 93°f. We put a stuffed animal in for company for now. The wound is cleaned up and i put antibiotic ointment without pain relief on it, it's not bleeding. I tried offering scrambled eggs but he's not into it yet, he does drink a little water though. I feel awful for him. Does this look like it might be able to heal? Any other suggestions for wound care? Thanks in advance!

Thanks @FeatherFeetFarm that's reassuring. I have some save a chick or something around somewhere, it's that similar to nutri drench?
Kinda. That has electrolytes or Probiotics. That would be good in his water. Hydro Hen is like Save a Chick but cheaper and it has Electrolytes and Probiotics. Nutri Drench is like Mollasses. It perks the chicks up and makes them want to eat and drink. It has lots of vitamins. You can find it at TSC but you may be able to achieve the same result with sugar water.

Chick is doing great today. Eating and drinking and walking around fine. If he's not bleeding and just missing his fluff do you think i might be able to use blukote and sneak him back out with momma and sibling? I feel bad he's all alone but scared he'll get hurt. Getting more babies is not an option for me right now.

Not sure if it matters but momma is still sitting on an egg that isn't doing anything, so I'm wondering if i could pull a switcharoo?

If you try to sneak the little poof under the hen, definitely do it at night. Good luck!
Side note, I recommend offering water with a spoonful of blackstrap molasses mixed in to chickens (and chicks!), in a pinch for fast energy. Unless you have nutri-drench or even "Poultry Cell"! (The latter is similar)
Good luck!
