I have a baby polish crested chick and he hatched yesterday and is nearly two days old. I have one other chick with him which is an aracana which can walk. But my polish chick can't walk he kind of shuffles around frantically in a lying down position and also turns on his side, he seems healthy other than that and is eating when I'm pecking at the food and I dip his head in the water everyday .I use tissue paper as the bedding. Yesterday I didn't have any so I used newspaper but changed it today. Will this chick be OK? What can I do to help him? Is he going to die?

I only saw the first 2 pics, but the second pic looks like your chick could have splayed leg?
If he/she does, it's easily treated.
I will post a link in a sec for you to learn how to go about treating it.

@Y master do not use tissue paper and newspaper as bedding. It is hard for the chick to stand on and gives them splayed legs. Use shavings or course sand instead.

I just had a baby hatch like this. I carefully wrapped medical tape around its legs to hold them the right width apart and left it on two days. After that the baby now walks normally! You can fix that baby right up just check out the link already provided.

Thanks everyone I have wrapped the chicks legs in medical tape and it is day three and I have seen a huge improvement and he is now walking I'm going to take that tape off tomorrow. Thanks!
