Baby Chick Found on Side of Road - Help with breed/sex/age?

Which state are you in? It might be that someone bought it at a auction and it got loss. it looks to be a pullet to me. and some kind of mix

I didn't read all the other posts, but it looks to be a 4 week old pullet to me. Mine are 4 weeks and about that with a bit of down around the neck still, like that chick.

I too just lost a BO hen almost that same age from the same thing. She just started to not eat, drink and just stood around with her tail down. Even could not get up on her roosting bar. So sorry for you loss.

Looks real lean... could be a leghorn cross and looks about 8 weeks old or so.
