baby chick get attacked

hi my baby chick that is only 5 days old has been get it tail feathers have been pulled out by the mother who hatched the egg I don't know what to do

This happened to me last year. They were sneaky and hatched two chicks in the hay stack and then brought them into the coop. Two hens were fighting for custody and kept pecking the chick to bring it under her. One died and I ended up taking the other away and raising it with the group I had incubated. I would take it away from her or it might not survive.
