Baby chick help!!

I have a 2 day old baby chick. My son loves to look at them he fell into the box and now the baby chick has a bloody sack like thing hanging from his bottom. What is it? Can I help it?

looks like maybe it hatched with a little unabsorbed yolk?? Usually those are drawn in by 2 days though. are other chicks with it? Keep it away from others, if possible. You can put some Neosporin on it, and I'd put a soft cloth under the chick so it doesn't tear it up any worse. hopefully it will heal up.

It wasn't there when it hatched. It happened when my son fell into the box. He landed on him.

Oh my gosh! That is horrible the poor thing! I agree with how to treat it with the person above, except it looks like intestines to me! Is it coming out of the cloaca ( bumhole) or slightly under? It is likely it would have internal bleeding.Also, is the chick moving around, or just huddling?It seems likely it may not make it, baby chicks being so fragile. If it is intestines, or something similar, I don't know what you could do

Yes! I feel horrible! I absolutely love my baby chicks.. it is coming from his butt. It has been up moving around. I put a towel in his box and put him on it under his light. I've been so upset I'm afraid we are going to lose him!
