So I've been told to post here. What happened was that a baby chick abandoned (i think because hens just kept on hurting it and it made me cry) and it got its right wing and head in pretty bad shape. I dont know what I should do and I really dont want it to die because I somehow connected to it. A picture of the poor baby is down below

Are there more chicks or just this one?
Do you have him under a light, keeping him warm? Get him to drink some water with chick electrilite and vitamins. Dip his beak in it a few times and make sure he swallows some.
Put some antibactial cream on his wounds
He may make it. If he does he will not be happy alone.
Good luck and keep us updated

Thanks. We dont have a lamp and i dont have any antibac cream .He is sleeping in some clothes and blankets that I gave him. Do u recommend anythibg for me to get at Wal-Mart for a cheap price. Dont think my mom wont like buying expensive stuff .And yes there are other chicks but i also have some teenage small lookin chicks

What do you have in your medicine cabinet to put on cuts? Neisporin ot triple ointment would be great.
If you can get him to take a couple sips of warm sugar water it could help him. He needs rest, but he needs to be kept hydrated also.
Keep him warm, but i am concerned about him suficating under covers.

No sorry :( But I will remove the blankets and just leave the warm clothes. He is hydrated but Ill try the sugar warm water in the morning. What can a baby chick do to sleep .I heard that you put it in a small space.

The chick will sleep better if he is comfortable , warm , not hungry or thirsty, and not in pain. Also he will be maybe lonely for his mother and other chicks. Have you gotten anything on his wounds? If you dont they will dry out, likely get infected and be painfull for him.
If he is noisy for you i am encoutaged he will recover.

Yea he is pretty chirp. Im going to the store today to pick up stuff for the baby chick .I also have some same age baby chicks like him .Do you knoe ehat i should get for the baby chick

I would get some antibiotic creme neisporin or triple antoibotic cream for his wounds.
If he is chipper just keep him warm like you have been doing and later when the wounds are healed up some try putting a friend in with him for company. i dont know if another chick would pick at his cuts right now.
Sounds like you are doing a good job looking out for him.
i am assuming you have chick starter food for him since you folks have other chicks.
Just make sure he has all the food and water he needs free choice.
Keep us updated on his progress.
