So I'm new at rasing chickens and I was holding one the day I got them and it pooped and out of a newly chicken keeper reflex I dropped it about 2 feet onto a stone floor[IMG]I feel really bad but it got right up and seemed fine but now they are a week old and her wing that she fell on is all dry and hard and crippled kinda when she try's to stretch her wing it's so crippled she can't really. Compared to her other wing she doesn't really have a wing[IMG] What do I do?? She walks lope sided like that side if very heaven and she isn't as active as the others, is she going to die?? It just keeps getting worse everyday[IMG][IMG]

I'm sorry to hear that. There's really no way to know right now. If the only thing wrong is a broken wing, she will most likely be fine eventually...like a person with only one arm. Ramps would be needed to get onto roosts, and her balance won't be as good. But that would be the extent of it.

However, if there was internal damage in addition to the wing, then there's really no way to know for sure except to give it time. I'm really sorry, but I think you're just going to have to wait and see. If she's eating/drinking/and pooping normally, I would just give her time to see how things work out. But if she stops eating/drinking, then I'd probably euthanize her.
