baby chick injuryed what else to do? help please

i have a day old chick that i tried to have adopted by a broody hen she pecked it on the head. i removed it from the pen along with the other chick that was there with it. have it in the brooder but seperated still being able to see the other chick just the other chick can peck at it. it keeps falling asleep, or at least that is what it looks like, then will open its beak and kinda gasp like then maybe cheep some the fall asleep again and repeat. i put some noesporin on its injury and gave it some baby vitamins with out iron, it has food and water in the little icu cage, what else can i do for it? i really dont want to lose this little chick. has anyone had a chick survive this kind of attack?

Sounds like it has a concussion. I know nothing about this stage of chickery but wanted you to know somebody was out there. Best of luck with the little fella.

i dont think there was much else i could have done. i did go and get its hatchmate a friend so it wont be a solo chick and am brooding them inside.

Sorry for your loss. I was candling eggs last night and dropped an egg..... I felt like I murdered it.....
