I somehow ended up with a mix of chicks lol. Have 3 that are 5 weeks old a couple of 3 week olds and 7 that are 1 week old. Keep the week olds out of flock of other chicks for a couple a days to make sure they would make it and didn't get pasty butt. Moved them all in together today and one of the week olds is putting them all in their place. All are calm and alright but one has decided to boss all of them. It stretches it neck out and flaps it's wings if any of them get too close. Could this causes my older chicks to start bumping chests. which they never did before or is it just timing? Either way it's really cute to watch. My 5 week olds are about 3 times the size of this little guy/or girl. lol

I don't have an answer to your questions, but I have a younger one that is very aggressive. It is cute. I do have that one separated from the others. I just hope the young one might be better behaved when its older. This could just be wishful thinking.
