First time raising chickens.

I have some 3 day old bantam wyandotte.

One of the chicks seems less active. All it does it sleep and It's not excited about eating either. It does peep a lot and I'm not sure if something is wrong with it.

Are chicks suppose to sleep this much?

It's always trying to get under the other chick's wings.

I'm worried about this little guy.
Maybe I should separate it?

Let me know what your thoughts are.

Don't separate that poor baby, that will make matters worse. What are your temps like on the warm side of the brooder?

I would make sure the warm side is at least 90 down at the chicks level and also think about giving a little sugar water to see if that helps the chick perk up. I might also think about putting something soft/fluffy in their for the chick to snuggle into, he/she is apparently trying to snuggle under the other chicks either for warmth or comfort.

The brooder is warm about 90 to 95 degrees. That one chick is the only one who isn't active. All of the others are jumping and exploring the brooder. But I will keep a close eye on this chick.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post. I appreciate it!!!
