Let’s have some fun. A contest is a great way to do that. Id love to see pictures of baby chicks. We will select a panel of chicken lovers together and judge the pictures. There will be a 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winner.

Pictures will be judged on clarity of photo, pose and cuteness

    Here are some rules:

1 - The picture must be yours

2 - Pictures must be of the entire chick - so that it is easily identifiable. Which means head, beak, feet, color of eyes and body.

3 - It must be properly labeled - i.e. you can’t call it a Rhode Island Red and it’s a Buckeye

4 - The picture can only be of day old chicks but no older than 5-7 days old.

5 - You can enter as many times as you like; but you can only enter two pictures of each breed.

6 - Chick must be purebred.

7 - Judges and or their family members are not eligible

8 - Decision of the judges is final

Deadline to enter is April 19th.

I will pay for shipping of awarded prizes.

    1st Place - A chicken wall clock

2nd Place - A dozen plus of whatever fresh fertile eggs I have when the contest ends.

    3rd Place - A Chick Surprise!

EEs aren't purebred, but I LOVE this pic:

(You might want to ask the mods to move this somewhere other than What Breed or Gender is This?)

I'm uncertain about this though. You said pure bred. What if it's two Rhode Island chickens? (White X Red)
Is that still a pure Rhode Island?
