I am new to this whole forum thing. I just *edited out age* and my family got a set of Delaware something or other chicks. The manager of the store that we got them at said that all but three in the shipment died. They are about 3 weeks old. Today I noticed that one of the chicks was wobbling around in the pen, limping on one leg. I need some advice on what might be wrong and what I should do.

Did you examine the leg and/or foot to see if there are any injuries? Broken bones?

Is the chick limping, or is it more like spasmodic movement of the leg? If so, perhaps you should try some Polyvisol in its water, to fill up any nutrient requirements the chick may be lacking.

I hope someone with more experience comes along. Good luck, and

it's hard to examine the leg because when ever I try she starts franticly flapping her wings. She walks with the one leg tucked under her. This morning I was watching her and she started make contact with the ground once or twice.
