Hi, I have a 1 day old chick who appears to be blind, stumbling around, and will not eat, I'm freaking out a bit seeing as he hasn't eaten, I got him to drink a bit earlier, although he won't walk (stands, doesn't walk) doesn't react to movement and keeps chirping. Anyone know how to deal with this aside from culling?

I know that blind chickens can do very well with a little TLC and time and effort. It really depends on how much you are willing to "invest" in it... It depends on what you're raising them for - straight utility, pets, or a mix of both?

Only you can decide if it's best to cull. I'd do a little research on here by searching at the top of the forum for blind chicks and chickens to see what other people have done in the past. :)

I hope that you are able to help your baby chick!
