A neighbor gave us this baby chick. Eyes aren't even open yet! It was in a box w rice, which is stuck to the feathers. I don't know how to take care of such a young one. I don't have a heat lamp so have it covered w a towel. Help!

How cold is it there? Do you have non LED lights to put near it to help keep it warm? A heating pad? Even bottles of hot water wrapped in towels?

It doesn't need to eat for the first few days but it must have a certain amount of heat to survive, around 90-95F.
 
Can you go buy a heat lamp and chick starter?

Unfortunately it died last night. We dont get cold here. Temp yesterday was 92.
