It's simply endearing to see chicks less than a week from the shell scratching industriously in the pine shavings like Big Chickens. Very determined little peepers. And then playing Keep-Away with a larger, poo-blackened shaving as if it's a real prize!

Chick tv is actually my favorite channel, even better than chicken TV!

Quote:Yes you are so right! After a few days they go at it scratching and digging just like big chickens and mine also love to find the dark colored bark chips in the shavings and then make a huge fuss and run all over the place like they have just found their little piece of gold...too funny. Mine are now perching on the little sticks I put in and bust bathing in the sandbox. They are growing up so fast.

I completely agree! I miss watching my babies in the house, but only have 11 days left on my bator. [IMG]

Linda, are you being an enabler again? [IMG]

Moi?? Surely you jest! I am merely espousing the joys of watching newly-HATCHED, chicks I myself have INCUBATED from eggs, growing up into actual chickens.

Whyever would you imagine I could be "enabling" others?
