Baby Chicken with Swollen Tongue!! HELP!

My silkie bantam chick swallowed a piece of thin yarn (fabric) and was trying to get it out of its mouth. Unfortunately it got extremely stuck around its tongue. I thought I had cut it out but as the weeks passed by I noticed it would do something like vomiting movements. It is eating well and it runs around happily, but when I checked its tongue was swollen ALOT and it had pieces of more yarn around it. I took out the yarn already (made sure that was all) and my question is, will it's tongue heal? It's a huge ball on the area the yarn was at. -Thanks

I would say that it should heal pretty fast but I would keep an eye on it maybe only give soft foods (yogurt ,oatmeal, bananas or just soak some its food in water )See how it looks in 12 or so hours.
