Just picked up our baby chicks from the PO. They all made it in fine shape.

I put a heat lamp over their little home--particle board flooring with wood walls. My question is, we have a wood burning furnace with a heat blower in the basement for our elderly dog. It does blow warm air around, but I wonder if this might be too drafty for the peeps. If I shut off the vent and there is no heat, it gets quite cold (~55 degrees). I directed the vent to blow over the peep pen, not down on it.

I would watch the little ones.....if they are loud, and huddled, they are too cold....if they are just loud and panting...they are too hot. They will pretty much let you know. Good luck with them..and....got pics????
